The observatory on corporations

I have read with due attention the contribution by Volker Telljohann and the related comment by Mr. Giorgio Verrecchia. As a Workers’ Representative and member of the European Works Council of the FCA Group (at least as long as such a Council existed, since the agreement has expired without being renewed) I would like to share some observations.

Ho letto con la dovuta attenzione il contributo di Volker Telljohann ed il relativo commento dell’ Avv. Giorgio Verrecchia. In qualità di Rappresentante dei Lavoratori e di membro del Comitato Aziendale Europeo del Gruppo FCA (almeno fino a quando tale Comitato è esistito, dal momento che l’accordo è scaduto senza rinnovo) gradirei condividere alcune osservazioni.

Reading Volker Telljohann’s article, which is precise and full of information, made me think about the FCA-PSA merger affair with regard to two aspects that I believe to be significant: on the one hand, the development of European social law and, on the other, the study of TNC information.

La lettura dell’articolo di Volker Telljohann, preciso e ricco di informazioni, mi ha fatto riflettere sulla vicenda della fusione FCA-PSA relativamente a due aspetti che ritengo significativi: da un lato lo sviluppo del diritto sociale europeo e dall’altro lo studio delle informazioni delle TNC.

On 17 December the so-called ‘combination agreement’ between FCA and PSA was signed, which will lead in about a year’s time to the merger of the two groups. Much emphasis has been placed in the Italian media on the fact that there will also be two workers’ representatives on the Board of Directors (BoD) of the new group, one for PSA and one for FCA. How can we explain this news?

Il 17 dicembre è stato siglato il cosiddetto ‘combination agreement’ tra FCA e PSA che porterà tra circa un anno alla fusione dei due gruppi. Nei media italiani è stato dato molto risalto al fatto che nel Consiglio di amministrazione (Cda) del nuovo gruppo ci saranno anche due rappresentanti dei lavoratori, uno per PSA e uno per FCA. Come si spiega questa nuova postura partecipativa del Gruppo Fca?
